生物工程（Biological Engineering）

   Biological engineering major adapts to the requirements of the development of biotechnology industry as China's strategic emerging industries, relying on the superiority of Chemistry and chemical engineering of our university, and features  biochemical engineering and biopharmaceutical. The professional fields involve the cell culture,genetic engineering、fermentation engineering、extraction and purification of biological products、biological medicine engineering design.

  The students of the biological engineering mainly study the basic theory and skills of biochemistry,microbiology,principles of chemical engineering,Engineering Drawing & CAD,genetic engineering,cell engineering, microbial engineering,enzyme engineering,bio-separation engineering, Biopharmaceutical technology,biological engineering equipment and fermentation factory design , etc., which help students receive basic training in cell culture and breeding、biotechnology and engineering, and have basic knowledge of biology,biotechnology and its industrialization grasp of scientific principles,technology and process engineering design and other basic theory and skills , can become the engineers and technicians engaged in the design, production, management and new technology research, new product development in the field of biotechnology and engineering.

  The curriculum implementation  focuses on developing students' professional engineering skills、Innovative Ability  and Entrepreneurial Consciousness . After graduation,students can enter the biological technology development or trade, biological products and pharmaceutical production, bio energy, chemical industry, food, environmental protection and other enterprises and institutions, engaged in the research, project development and management work in the bioengineering and the related fields; also continue to pursue postgraduate study in biochemical engineering、fermentation engineering,biochemistry and molecular biology,microbiology and biochemistry pharmacy and other subject direction, becoming senior specialists in related fields.
